Magnetic Poetry

I confess that I cannot resist the gift section in Waterstones. I love the novelty, the unpredictability and the variety of things on offer. There’s something magical about buying something, because you want it, not because you need it.

Today, I popped into Waterstones and laid claim to a Magnetic Poetry set – magnets and poetry; what’s not to like?! It’s probably my new favourite thing. I’ve written poetry for years, but there was something interesting about this. The inexhaustible combination of words that can be created and crafted excited me. I’ll be taking this into school for my creative writing club to have a play with, of course, but this will provide me with many hours of blissful writing. I am excited to while away the summer hours with many an activity; not least this one!

After all, “Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.”
